No Silver Bullet for Success
Nagoya, May 24---Using real life examples and success stories from American companies, Dr. Suzanne Berger, MIT, gave a lecture on her team's research on the impact of globalization on the prospects for innovation and economic growth. In the Q&A session, the audience was drawn into the discussion on what Chubu industries should learn from the US success models. While there's no manual to succeed in the global market, Dr. Berger pointed out the importance of capability to coordinate activities and cooperate with partners across borders. One way to acquire such capability is to travel and she encouraged young students to go abroad to experience diffirent cultures. "After all, it's all human," she said.
