Learning from Route 66 - America's Mother Road
Kakamigahara, June 27, 2007--- Professor Chester Liebs of the University of New Mexico and a Visiting Fulbright Scholar at the Universtiy of Tokyo discussed American cultural history and preservation through his presentation "Learning from Route 66: America's Mother Road." Prof. Liebs's description of American cultural history, preservation, and transportation planning was illuminated with numerous photographs chronicling the evolution of the landscape alongside American highways over the last 80 years that accompanied social and economic change in the United States.
