Nagoya, July 12 - Ambassador Thomas Schieffer joined in a reception hosted by visiting Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour as part of the Nagoya Invest in Mississippi Seminar. In his congratulatory remarks, the Ambassador acknowledged the economic and social contributions made by Nagoya-area companies, including Toyota Motors, that have chosen to establish manufacturing facilities in Mississippi and expressed his hopes that business ties between the regions will become even more active.

Led by the Governor, about 25 business and government delegates from Mississippi visited Nagoya to meet with managers and other representatives of 50 leading Central Japan companies at the seminar.
