Nagoya American Center and Kakamigahara City Sign MOU, Promise to Donate Books and Promote Cultural Understanding in Central Japan

Kakamigahara, August 13 - The Nagoya American Center and the City of Kakamigahara, Gifu Prefecture signed an memorandum of understanding to establish an American Shelf at the Kakamigahara International Exchange Salon. Under the MOU, the salon will offer materials about the United States and hold programs on American issues while the Nagoya American Center will donate about $3,000 worth of American studies materials and children books.

Nagoya American Center Director Jonas D. Stewart and Kakamigahara Mayor Shin Mori, signed the MOU at the Kakamigahara City Hall. Both parties expressed the importance of cultural diplomacy and promised further cooperation in future to enhance understanding between the two countries.
