
School Bullying - A Problem for Both U.S. and Japan
Nagoya, February 21 - University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Professor Dorothy Espelage spoke to an audience of educational administrators, teachers and government officials about methods to combat bullying in schools. Noting that bullying is an international problem that occurs both in American and Japanese schools, Dr. Espelage emphasized proactive training for teachers and counseling for victims of bullying as successful countermeasures.
The Aichi International Association co-sponsored this event. NPO Ask-Net Representative Yoshitaka Menjo moderated the discussion after Dr. Espelage’s presentation.
