
Analyst Discusses Pakistan Elections
Nagoya, April 8 - Lisa Curtis, a senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation, discussed the state of Pakistan after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and the impact of the February elections. Ms. Curtis stated that Pakistan's tribal areas along the border with Afghanistan constitute the most dangerous terrorist safe haven in the world today. She said that the February elections were an important step in eliminating extremist ideology and is therefore good news for the U.S, Japan and the rest of the world.
