Scientist Discusses NASA’s Research on Climate Change

Nagoya, June 3 - Dr. David Halpern, senior adviser at NASA’s Earth Science Division, spoke to an audience of students and environmental studies experts at Nagoya University about NASA’s work to study climate change.

Dr. Halpern discussed how NASA plays a critical role in the U.S. Government’s Climate Change Science Program by providing research and analysis of observations and models on the global integrated Earth system and on understanding changes in the Earth’s environment.

He also explained how NASA and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) work together to conduct environmental research.
