U.S. Trade Mission Visits Nagoya
Nagoya, June 26-27 - A delegation of the Virginia-based U.S. Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) recently visited Japan.
Dividing their time between Greater Nagoya and Tokyo, this was the second AMT trade mission to Japan organized by the U.S. Commercial Service following a delegation in early 2007.
After participating in the "Automotive Parts Solution Fair 2008" at Tokyo's Big Sight, ten AMT member companies visited auto and auto parts firms in the Chubu region.
The primary focus of the mission was to further develop contacts in Japanese auto parts companies with transplant factories in the U.S. with a view to expanding sales of U.S. products both in Japan as well as to the North American operations.
