New Principal Officer Meets the Press

Nagoya, August 12 - Newly-arrived Principal Officer Max Kwak introduced himself to Central Japanese correspondents at a press roundtable.

During the event, Mr. Kwak discussed the strength of the U.S.-Japan relationship in the Nagoya area- focusing on trade and academic connections between Central Japan and the United States.

Highlighting his respect and admiration for the Japanese people, Mr. Kwak listed some of the many common traditions that they share with the people of the United States, including freedom, democracy and prosperity.

Mr. Kwak stated that he considers it a special honor to serve as Principal Officer in Nagoya, and to focus on enhancing the bilateral relationship in Japan’s industrial heartland.
