Nagoya Students Watch the U.S. Presidential Debate Live

Nagoya, October 8 - Students from local universities gathered at the Nagoya American Center director’s residence to watch a live feed of the second presidential debate between Republican candidate John McCain and Democratic candidate Barrack Obama.

The students listened to the candidates discuss the recent global financial crisis and U.S. foreign policy regarding the Middle East and the Caucasus among other regions.

Following the debate, the students discussed the debate topics with Consulate officials and American Studies professors.

They then held an unofficial election to select who they would vote for in the U.S. presidential race.
