Expert Discusses Climate Change and National Security
Nagoya, February 12 - Sarah Ladislaw, Energy and National Security Program fellow at the Center for Strategic International Studies, discussed the impact of climate change on national security.
Ms. Ladislaw described how, unless drastic action is taken soon, climate change will most-likely cause cross-border problems including rising ocean levels, decreasing water supplies, large scale migrations and humanitarian disasters.
All of these potential problems have a direct impact on the security of the United States, Japan and other countries.
