International Trade and the Financial Crisis
Nagoya, April 8 - Berkeley Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Study Center Director and Abe Fellow Vinod Aggarwal discussed the history of bilateral and multilateral trade agreements and the current financial crisis with an audience of academics, business leaders and government officials.
Commenting on the global financial crisis, Dr. Aggarwal contended that the world economy appears to be on the mend and that trade protectionism remains at bay for the time being.
Nagoya University School of Economics Professor Makoto Tawada moderated this event and provided his own comments following Dr. Aggarwal’s presentation.
