Tsu, Oct 17 - Mr. George Scholz, Public Affairs Regional English Language Officer based at US Embassy Jakarta, spoke at the Chubu English Language Education Society Mie Chapter headed by Professor Mitsuaki Hayase of Mie University.

The program participants ranged from university students aspiring to be English teachers to experienced teachers who have taught English for more than 30 years.

Mr. Scholz introduced the English teaching resources and materials* offered by the US government that are available on-line free of charge.

Watching the classroom video clips collected from various countries, the participants made comparison with their own classes and discussed how they could apply the ideas they obtained from other teachers.
